Women suffering from joint pains more prone to heart attack!

Mumbai: In a recent study it has been found that the risk of heart attack is more in the women who are suffering from gout, a painful joint disease.

The researchers from the Boston University School of Medicine carried out the study with 9,500 gout patients and 48,000 people without the disease, aged 65 and older to give such conclusion.
According to the study women who are suffering with gout have 39 percent chance to have a fatal or non-fatal heart attack in comparison to those without the condition.
While on the other hand men with gout are 11 percent more likely to have heart attack of any kind than those without the disease.
