National Dog Show 2009

New York: National Dog Show 2009: John O’Hurley (”Dancing With the Stars,” “Seinfeld”) and the dog expert David Frei are the hosts at NBC for National Dog Show.
More than 2,000 dogs in 150 breeds - including Uli, the top-ranked bulldog in the country - congregate for this annual show hosted by the Kennel Club of Philadelphia.
The USA Network already had the Westminster Kennel Club, so Miller went with the Philadelphia Kennel Club show, which may or may not be even older.
The Westminster shows started in 1877, Philadelphia Kennel Club ones didn’t start until 1879 - but were spurred by a show at the Centennial Exposition in 1876.

too bad Schipperkes are overlooked in all the dog shows…we can’t even get a good look at them as the ads come on or they just sweep the camera past them….consider me a Schipperke lover!!
