New York: While many countries round the globe have ushered in the New Year with spectacular display of fireworks and much fanfare, the New Year Ball still waits to drop to welcome the New Year in the United States of America.
The countdown to New Year is being hosted by Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest in the city of New York.
Times Square is abuzz with activity as New Yorkers wait for the Ball carved out of Waterford crystals to drop and welcome 2010.
As soon as the ball is dropped, close to 32,000 lights will go on to usher in the New Year with the theme of “Let There Be Courage.”
